The Friends of the Anza Valley Community Library (FOAL) understands the critical importance of well-funded libraries. FOAL seeks to ensure that our library receives the support needed to provide a wide variety of services to all ages, including access to print and digital media, assistance in research, readers’ advisory, and children’s services. Your financial support ensures our library can continue providing relevant and important services for the entire community.

Steve Merritt
Fundraising

Anza resident, Iowa native, father, grandfather, retired businessman (30 years), teacher (20 years), and currently learning to grow vegetables and raise a few chickens in Bautista Canyon.  I joined FOAL to promote the growth and use of our public library in the Anza Valley. I believe reading is a transformative experience and the gateway to personal and social growth.

Nancy Yarrow
Historian

I have lived in the Terwilliger area in Anza for over thirty years. I moved here in the mid to late 90’s to live with my father (now deceased).

Recently retired from my job of 15 years as a inventory problem solver for a division of Merek.

Since retiring I have been looking to be more involved with the community of Anza and have joined a few non-profits, Anza Friends of the Library being one of them.

I married for the first time after my 60th birthday. My husband John has one daughter, Chantel, who has worked for the Anza Library for over 12 years now.

I hope to be of help promoting and supporting the Anza Community Library.
